# Data connectors

> Bring your organization's own files into Kepler, next to filings and transcripts.

Data connectors let Kepler search your organization's own documents, such as models, memos, and research notes, alongside public filings and transcripts. A Kepler admin connects a source once. After that, everyone in your organization can find its content in Kepler, and answers cite the exact file they came from.

## How connectors work

**1. An admin connects the source**

A Kepler organization admin signs in to the source with a dedicated account and authorizes read-only access.

**2. The admin chooses what syncs**

Nothing syncs until the admin selects folders or files. Kepler reads only what is selected.

**3. Kepler keeps it up to date**

Kepler syncs the selection and picks up new and changed files on its own. Synced content shows in the documents library and in cited answers.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Everything a connector syncs is searchable by **everyone in your Kepler organization**. Select only content that your whole organization may see.
